It's been a pretty slow week. Creeps were abounding, as usual, but none of them did anything very surprising. Marisleysis and Donato held a news conference. The Ramseys went on TV and wondered how anyone could suspect that two such loving parents could murder their daughter. George, Al, Hillary and Rick all called each other two-bit whores. No news there.

So it's time to pull out the old Creep e-mail bag. I get lots. Some of it is funny, some angry, some stupid, some fawning, some critical, some completely irrelevant and unintelligible. But it's almost never boring. A bit of Creep trivia: What's the most common insult I receive? "I think you should be the Creep of the Week!" Not too creative, but it gets the point across.

So here's some of what I put up with every week. As always, I've eliminated the names to protect the innocent, the guilty and the assholes.
 

May 27, 2000 - The Wendy's Killers

• Trigger locks, a longer waiting period, and background checks, would have had no effect on this situation that I can determine. I am not a hunter, gun enthusiast or owner. I live in a place (Sitka Alaska) where people assume you are armed and in general have a healthy mutual respect for one another. While I am a firm believer in finding a happy medium I always have a niggling fear of letting government have any more control over gun ownership than it now enjoys simply because the main reason for private gun ownership in this country is, was, and shall always be to give the citizenry at least a fighting chance over a possible oppressive government in the future. No, I will not be hunkered down in a country bunker surrounded by Y2K surplus dried food and ammo boxes. I am merely one who has a healthy mistrust of officials who want to make me "safer". Hey, all the restrictions NY has in place on private gun ownership sure had no effect on these two assholes.

• I want to do anything to help fight the NRA.  I there they are all crazy lunatics if they believe that locks on guns will prevent anything.  Only getting the guns will help stop the killings.  How many more people have to die before they get it?  Hundreds, thousands, millions?  I used to think Charlton Heston was a God.  Now I think he is a very stupid individual.

• Most of the Chinese restaurants I go to here in San Diego never have more than $100.00 on hand ANY time. I always feel safe from robbers.  Food poisoning? That's another story.

May 20, 2000 - The National Park Service

• I wanted to let you know that your discussion this week regarding the National Park Service only scratched the surface of the arrogance of this organization. The NPS fought my grandfather, Francis Gherini, for twenty years in an effort to take his land away for inclusion in the NPS. It didn't seem to matter to them that he had a right to his property. When he failed to give in to their demands, they trumped up charges against some of his employees and conducted a commando-style raid of his property, complete with a Black Hawk helicopter, masked gunmen, and semi-automatic weapons. That organization scarred my family forever. Unfortunately, their arrogance and stupidity (a lethal combination) went unchecked and led directly to what happened in New Mexico.

• Your piece about the Nat'l Park Service was a beaut!   If you concentrate on the Gov't and the people running this country you'll never run out of material.

May 13, 2000 - Rudolph Giuliani

• With a puffy prostrate I doubt that Rudy's doing much masturbating lately.  If stupid Rudy could have keep his trap shut (not his fly) and semi cozied up to his estranged wife, he could have slid into home plate on the prostrate sympathy vote alone.  But now,  well what can we say he's on a crutch and a cane.

• We're going to miss the little prick!  He was so obviously awful he probably would have lost the Senate election anyway but oh what a delicious field day for the press and us political watchers who watch as things sink lower and lower in the political circus! More important...when will the nasty little Mussolini get kicked out of City Hall and someone can get in there who start mending fences with the blacks and other minorities? Looks like the porks in LA are cornered and will have to sign a consent decree with the Feds over the slimes who run the LAPD.  New York could be next if (sorry to say) Proscuitto gets too sick or one of his girl friends shoots his balls off!

• Did you notice that the week after both Gary Bauer and Rudy Giuliani were named "Creep of the Week", they both left the race?  Good job!!

April 29, 2000 - Marisleysis Gonzalez

• I have never seen her with her mouth shut, I'd like to stuff a hamster into it.  She shared a bedroom with Elian!  Did you see Christ on a cross hanging outside their house?  This family is good and crazy. These people make no pretense at all about being hyphenated Americans, they just call themselves Cubans.  Tie them all to inner tubes and set them sailing for chrissake.  I feel like tossing my tamales!

• I loved your commentary on this big mouthed, Cubana, shrieking and wailing. She held that child hostage and had no right to keep him from his father. And we should have stepped in a hell of a long time ago to end this siege. When they refused to turn him over, police action should have stepped in. Hell with their court hearings. They can continue while Elian is home with his father. I also say, let's stop giving these loud mouths news coverage. Enough is enough. Keep Elian away from these loonies, send him and his family home and let's find something else to do.

• Don't you wonder who's been paying the bills for this family, for lawyers, airlines, hotels, etc.?  Not to mention all the Kmart junk they filled their little house with. By now I'm sure they have an agent that's lining up the usual trashy talk shows for them.  Marisleysis should work on her crying on camera, though.  Maybe there's a class for that.

• Elian's fisherman friend was on Fox this a.m., with his lawyer.  His live is ruined as he is having constant flashbacks and every day he hears Elian's piteous cry for help so he needs $100 M to ease his pain.  Also, some demonstrators are part of this suit as the military put guns in their faces and their lives have been ruined.  Naturally, this is about principal not money.  (The fishy man's brother is in jail for killing his own son per Enquirer May 23rd.)

• And I think you're dead-on about Marisleysis and the fisherman - who turns out to clean houses for a living and has never fished before in his life - will end up being an item (if they're not already).  I think the only prediction you might possibly have missed is that they'll get Kato Kalin to play Donato Dalrymple in the mini-series.

• Do you think he always sleeps in a closet or was he just after a good photo opportunity?

April 15, 2000 - Mark Chmura

• I believe that a girl who is capable of playing drinking games, with others is capable of consenting to sex. The only question here should be was their a forcible sexual assault. I am sick of double standards, and laws which the government tries to control behavior of sexual beings. Everyone has sex, and the age of the person who is having the encounter should depend on only one thing. Biology. Is the person able to conceive, or produce sperm. If the person is biologically able to create life, then the government has no business entering into any such situation. The idea of putting age as a factor is ridiculous. Had it been a 17 year old boy, boinking her this would not have made the headlines.  Get the law off the backs of the people, and on the backs of those who are criminals.

March 18, 2000 - John and Patsy Ramsey

• You said it all . I don't think anyone could ever get down to lower enough word for these people I have said from the day I read the item in the paper and got to the end FOUND IN HER OWN BASEMENT someone in her home done this...and I still think the same today only more so with all this book promoting but couldn't talk to the police who do they think they are fooling!!!!

• There hasn't been anything said by them YET, that convinces me of their innocence.  At this point there are many opinions, many theories, and they're ALL good.  Oh yes, an intruder COULD  have done it, but if so, I  bet they know why, that's the problem here . Johnnie coulda pissed some overseas client off to the point where they killed his daughter, as in "revenge", or the beautiful Mrs. R, may have become 'unglued' and did the deed herself. But what matters most, to me , and has all along, is their behavior throughout.  It is ..........unorthodox.  I believe, they've accomplished what they've been trying to do for the past 3 years.....confuse issues.  And they've done an excellent job. Next, I suppose they will want to make a movie, playing themselves. .

May 31, 1997 - Timothy McVeigh

• The U.S. government murdered the Branch Davidians. If you can not see this, I do not know what to tell you. Perhaps you are a puppet, or a sheep. When it is your family that is murdered I wonder what you will say then. For the record, the U.S. government murders people all over the world every day. Why do you think so many people hate us? Because we are nice to them. Get real. The usurper are here, and I am not paranoid. I have no guns, but support the right to have lots, because we are going to need them. As for McVeigh, he had never been a anti government wacco before this incident. The truth is  the right to revolution existed at the time of the bombing. All responsibility for death is on the shoulders of the government, "Whenever ANY form of government, becomes destructive of these ends it is the right of the people to alter, or to abolish it.".....(Declaration of Independence, concerning the right to revolution, and the purpose of government.)
